What’s your style philosophy?
Fashion can be serious and fashion can be playful. There is a duality in this industry that is utterly ridiculous, yet completely necessary in our daily lives. Anyone that thinks fashion is not important is fooling themselves. We wake up everyday and we dress everyday!

What about your work brings you the greatest satisfaction?
The greatest satisfaction for me is helping someone find their personal style. Your style is part of your everyday identity and makes you more powerful, confident, and beautiful. To dress you, is to know you. I love fashion and people so being a stylist is a natural role for me.

Do you have a favorite designer?
I can’t pick just one! Rick Owens, Carolina Herrera, Dries Van Noten, Sies Marjan, Altuzarra…

Is there one article of clothing every client should have in their wardrobe?
A classic leather jacket.

What trends are you excited for this season?
Lavender or “Ultra Violet” will be HUGE in SS18. I have also seen lots of plaids, art-infused prints and it looks like a more subtle, less in-your-face style of fringe is here to stay.

Since you started in the industry, what is the biggest change you’ve seen?
As I get older, I have realized that there are no rules. I think 10 years ago there was this set of fashion rules people abided by. The biggest change is that designers have recognized their clients personal style and anything goes attitude! Bloggers and social media have been a huge voice for “us”. So I always say, wear what works for you, not all trends do and that is okay. There is always a way to keep you current and looking fab.

Tell us a little about your time in fashion?
I’ve been working in the fashion industry for nearly 20 years now! I started out at Barneys New York as a Personal Shopping Assistant and finished as a Balanciaga Specialist. From there I worked as Department Manager for Brunello Cucinelli at Hirshleifers in Manhasset and moved to WRTW Department Manager at Christian Dior in Manhasset as well.

What about your work brings you the greatest satisfaction?
Building a lasting relationship with my clients and being able to assist them with any fashion needs they may have.

Do you have a favorite designer?
Carolina Herrera.

Is there one article of clothing every client should have in their wardrobe?
Yes. A fantastic, colorful, asymmetric top.

What trends are you excited for this season?
Bold prints, pastels as well as bright colors, checks, sheer layers, and sequins. And let’s not forget about denim – it’s still very important!

Since you started in the industry, what is the biggest change you’ve seen?
It’s the evolution of the media, for sure. Women can watch the fashion shows anytime and they can find the answer to all of their style questions online. They can see what all of the celebrities are wearing on Instagram and get educated on the trends before the season even starts!
